Zippyz by Little Trendyz Pajama Review

Anyone who has ever changed their baby's diaper knows what a pain it can be to undress and redress a cozy little baby while trying to match up buttons and snaps. My husband, in particular, will usually just match up a few and leave the rest open! Unzipping pajamas can be even worse when the cold air hits the warm skin of the baby making them cry in discomfort.

Zippyz by Little Trendyz solves that problem! Their footed pajamas are the perfect solution for keeping your baby's chest warm but still being able to change their diaper quickly and effectively. These pajamas are particularly good news for my impatient husband :)

Zippyz are a patent-pending footed pajama with 3 snaps at the chest and a zipper from foot to belly! Pure genius!! They also feature a mitten cuff to keep baby from scratching their face.

When I met Lisa, the creative mind behind Zippyz, at the Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower last week, I was greeted by her warm, smiling face. She was super friendly and passionate about her oh-so-cute pajamas. When she handed me the pajamas for Baby J, I was immediately impressed by quality and softness of the white-with-blue-polkadots fabric. I knew that Baby J would love them. (The pajamas are made from an eco-friendly, ultra-soft, organic cotton and bamboo blend.)

When I tried them on Baby J, the fit was great! When I went to change his diaper, I think he really enjoyed not being unsnapped all the way up his body. I also enjoyed it because he is starting to squirm and wiggle and roll at his diaper changes, which makes putting his clothes back on even more difficult. Then...ZIP! We were all done, and he got right back to playing! Zippyz are great for sleep but also cute enough for baby to play in during the day :)

Baby J's chest and arms stayed warm while he got a diaper change

Zipping Baby J back up!

I highly recommend these smart, easy, comfy pajamas to anyone with a baby or expecting a new baby. In fact, I'd make them an essential part of a new baby's wardrobe. I will definitely be stocking up on Zippyz when I have my next baby! You can purchase Zippyz at www.littletrendyz.com. They have cute patterns for boys and girls, including polkadots, stripes and hearts.

Big City Moms Baby Shower Miami

Last night I attended the Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower in Miami. It was awesome! I went with Lindsay from www.youaretheroots.com and also met up with the Baby-Bee Haven Ladies.

At the FUN Beco booth!

There were rows and rows of booths set up by many of the top baby companies. We tried to go to as many booths as possible to check out their products. Everyone was super friendly!! There was also informational seminars, giveaways, food, mocktails, and more!

Lots of mama's checking everything out!

I found a lot of awesome new products that I will be blogging about soon. I will also have a giveaway (or maybe two) from some of the companies that I met at the Shower.

With the ladies at Maxi Cosi
There were some companies that stood out to me and were EXTRA friendly! Pam at Joovy was really knowledgeable about everything Joovy had to offer. She was eager to tell us about Joovy's new product (The Boob Bottle) which will be available in select stores within the next month or two. It looks like a great bottle and has many of the features I look for when selecting a bottle. More to come on that.

With Pam at Joovy and the Boob!
Erika at Ella's Kitchen was so nice to us. She gave me a bunch of different foods for Baby J to try out. While talking to her I found out that we actually went to the same high school, which is a fun little fact! I will be doing a review (and possibly a giveaway) on some of the Ella's Kitchen products very soon! Exciting!! :)

Heather and the ladies at Bibbitec were so sweet! Their product is truly unique and I can't wait to do my review on their Ultimate Bib!! They will be on the hit show Shark Tank on Friday, February 1st at 9pm, so tune in to ABC to check them out!

Zippyz by Little Trendyz  is another review that I cannot wait to do! Lisa and the other women at their booth were beyond eager to help me! Their pajamas are so innovative and I know that Baby J is going to LOVE when I put the super soft fabric on his skin!!

Kelly at Pediped had a wonderful selection of shoes to show off. They looked stylish and comfortable and I know Baby J will enjoy a pair of Pediped's on his tootsies.

I cannot say enough good things about Chris and the guys at Daddy Scrubs. They were excited about their products, which make great gifts for any father-to-be or new father in your life. I love their creative spin on fatherhood!

Keymia at Happy Family was welcoming and extremely friendly. I even picked up a few pouches for Baby J to eat :)

Other notable booths with very friendly staff: BabyGanics, Quinny, Maxi Cosi, Phil & Ted's, Honest Tea, Maclaren, Bellini, Project Nursery, Give Wink.

At the end, everyone that attended left with an overflowing tote bag FILLED with products from many of the companies at the Shower. There was also a raffle, and I won a Beco baby carrier!! Pretty exciting!!

Most of the stuff I picked up!! WOW!!

Overall, I had a wonderful evening. I met some new friends and learned about some awesome new products! Keep an eye out for my upcoming reviews and giveaway(s)!

As always, thanks for reading! :)

Magic and Reality

Things have been pretty busy in the B household for the past few days! Over the weekend my husband surprised us with a last minute trip to Disney. We have annual passes (since we live relatively close), and it's always nice to put them to use!

B Family in Magic Kindgom

So we hopped in the car and drove up to Orlando. We only stayed for 1 night, but that was enough! I didn't think it would be as crowded as it was, but it wasn't unmanageable. The weather was absolutely perfect! Most of the country was having a cold front of snow, and in Florida that translates to beautiful clear blue skies, and 72 degree afternoons.

Hollywood Studios

Baby J seemed to enjoy himself. Last time we went he was only 3.5 months old (his first visit). He slept for most of the trip. This time he was awake a lot more and he actually got to go on a ride (It's a Small World), and he thought it was pretty cool! Seeing the wonder and magic in his big eyes was something we will remember forever. He soaked in every little thing!

Baby J loving It's a Small World
In other news, co-sleeping has finally run it's course, which I am sad about. Baby J started out sleeping in his Arms Reach Co-Sleeper when he came home from the hospital. Then, he would spend half the night in our bed. Eventually it became the whole night. I really have enjoyed the cuddles having a sweet little baby next to me. Lately, though, it had become apparent that he just wasn't comfortable anymore. He would toss-and-turn and wake up multiple times during the night. Not to mention, I was getting kicked and punched constantly haha!

I didn't even own a baby monitor because I never planned on Baby J leaving my sight until he was 35 ;) So, I went and got a monitor yesterday (Motorola) and set everything up. When it was bedtime, he was cranky earlier than usual. I did not envision the transition going very well. I put him in his crib after he had a bottle... and he cried. After only 15 minutes, and me going into his room about 5 times, he finally fell asleep! I broke all the rules that most books say. I picked him up. Oh, well. He was upset.

Baby J fast asleep in his big boy crib!

I was glued to the monitor camera pretty much for the rest of the night! I did cry a couple of times. This is not for the faint of heart. My baby has been attached to me 24/7 for the past 6 months...but it was harder on me than him! He did great. He did wake up once in the middle of the night, but we consoled him and he went back to sleep. He woke up really happy this morning!! :)

I'm excited to see how he does during the upcoming nights. Wish us luck!

As always, thanks for reading! :)

Lucky, Duckie.

"Be content with what you have;
rejoice in the way things are.
When you realize there is nothing lacking,
the whole world belongs to you."
--Lao Tzu

Today was a beautiful South Florida day. We went out to the beach for lunch and a stroll (Baby J was in his new Joovy Groove umbrella stroller). We ate lunch at a restaurant just steps from the sand. The breeze was blowing our hair around our faces. It wasn't too hot to be sweaty, and not chilly enough to need a sweater. It was just right.

Our food was delicious. I had a chicken mozzarella caprese sandwich with tomato aioli sauce (ummm, YUM!). My husband had jambalaya (he loves that!). Baby J had a Plum Organic pouch of peaches and other fruits...he seemed to think it was quite delicious :)

After lunch, we walked out onto the pier. The baby loved the breeze. He was laughing and smiling the whole time. He liked the subtle bumping of the wooden boards underneath his stroller wheels. We sat down on a bench for a minute. We soaked in the smell of the salt air, the warmth of the sun on our skin, the cherub-like smile from chubby baby cheek to cheek on the face of our son.

Then we walked up-and-down the sidewalk parallel to the beach. The baby fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and people walking to-and-from the sand.

It really was a perfect day. I think if I had to describe a perfect day, this would likely be it. Surrounded by the men I love, on the beach, with yummy food. In my fantasy though, the calories wouldn't count. A girl can dream, right?!

As we were sitting on the bench on the pier, I had a wave of a new feeling come over me. I realized that today I was totally content. For so long in my life, things didn't seem to be right. I was always waiting to get to the good parts...to get through the rough patches. I'm pretty sure everyone is guilty for wanting more, or better things. "If I only had ____. If I could only lose 10 pounds. My life will be better when____." I didn't have any of those sinking thoughts today.

Being content is a new feeling for me. It is a welcome feeling. I am so blessed to be who I am and where I am in my life, with who I am surrounded by. No feeling can ever come close to that.

"Just tell yourself, Duckie,
you're really quite lucky!"
